Mustad Hooks
Mustad has manufactured fish hooks for both sport and commercial fishing ever since our hook production started up in the 1870s, developing from the first hooks used with hand lines to the ones applied in modern longlining using the Mustad Autoline System.
Throughout the years we have produced an incredibly wide range of hooks in a great number of finishes, patterns and sizes — from the largest shark hooks to almost microscopic match and fly hooks. Historically speaking, whenever someone communicated a need for a specialised hook in order to catch a specific fish species, or even a crocodile for that matter, it didn´t take long before Mustad was able to meet the demand.
Today we are very proud of the fact that we can supply hooks for all possible kinds of fishing. Whether we consider Native Americans fishing for salmon in Alaska, Africans competing with crocodiles for the fish in a majestic tropical river, or Norwegians aboard an autoliner in arctic waters, Mustad can offer just the right hook for the job. Currently, we manufacture more than 10,000 different hook patterns.
