Mustad Activate Makes Fish Feed
[ Back ]

Hello,

I am writing to make you aware of the great success I have been having with you're new Activate product. My specific application has been using it for catching panfish such as crappies, bluegills and jumbo perch through the ice. With the aid of a good sonar unit, it is common to find neutral fish hanging below your hole, which are reluctant to bite. When this happens I apply some of your Activate and in many instances it triggers an immediate response. I am particularly fond of the aerosal spray because it is so easy to apply and keeps your hands clean and dry. Just lay your lure on the ice and give it a quick spray. One can lasts for a long time. I tend to reserve using the Activate for fish that have turned their noses up at more aggressive presentations. When you apply the spray to your bait, you can acually see, both with your naked eye, and on your sonar, the small oil droplets and micro-metal flakes dispersing from your bait.

Additional observations at home in my fish tank show that the spray gives the lure a slimy lifelike sheen. It is important shake the can before each application in order to ensure the metal flake is well mixed. I suspect these stimuli, in combination with the pheromone additives offer uniquely distinct qualities which inspire fish to stike my lure, when in many cases they completely ignored it without the Activate treatment moments earlier.

My thanks to you and the innovative minds at Mustad for developing revolutionary products that actually work.

Sincerely,
Lonnie King
