Beadeye Mudeye
By Bob Frandsen
Materials List:
|
| HOOK: |
MustadR74 #8 |
| BODY & HEAD: |
Dark brown chenille |
| BACK: |
3 dyed brown duck breast feathers. Mallard or similar. Actually anydark brown feather of the right shape would be suitable. |
| LEGS: |
Stiff deer hair dyed dark brown ( I use Sambar as its readilyavailable. but Elk or similar would be fine). |
| EYES: |
Black or brown beads |
|
|
|
I also dress this fly in olive/green or black. The green is good in daytimewith the black being much better after dark. Brown is by far the most popular. A good fly of an evening on lakes where there is a good hatch of dragon flies at dusk and into the darkness
